At Gorgie Farm, we provide a showcase of traditional farming methods from Scotland and beyond, giving you the chance to get hands-on, practical knowledge of how to keep farm animals happy and how to care for them properly. Although our animals move around throughout the year, you will often find pigs, cows, chickens, sheep and goats on the farm.
In addition to the main farm, visiting our Pet Lodge will give you the chance to get up close and personal with some of our small domestic pets as well. We even can look after your pet while you go on holiday! Check out our Pet Boarding page for more information.
As part of a pre-booked tour or workshop, we also offer the chance to help feed and sometimes cuddle the animals. Have a look at our Booking page for more information.
For our grand reopening we have been joined by four lovely Alpacas; Truffle, Ronaldo, Whitelee and Kiwi. Alpacas are a species of South American camelid and are often confused with llamas. Alpacas are smaller and were bred for their wool, which makes them extra fluffy. We are very excited to offer a new Alpaca Trekking experience giving members of the public a chance to feed and pet Gorgie Farms newest residents.
